Studio Script

Here is the script idea that I have written for the studio shoot. I feel that we should be able to create something interesting out of this.

Visually I want this to be very dim, maybe even intentionally grainy. I think that if it looks too slick it will lose some of the edge that I am hoping to create when directing this film. I think that within the film itself, the sound will probably be the most important aspect, and the one that will bring the piece to life. I am particularly fond (as a result of my love of David Lynch) of out of frame sounds. I think that when used effectively, they can create a very unsettling mood, something that I strive to have in this short film.

Looking at this script some things I intend on putting into the piece are:

Close ups of the stalkers hands touching the woman.
Their reactions, as I have previously mentioned.
Cast shadows across their faces in particular the stalker.
Hopefully the actors will be good enough to pull off great performances. I would quite like to almost have a sympathetic feel for the kidnapper. I like when films are not quite as clear cut/black and white between good and bad guys.

A meeting with Bryony the producer to discuss potential actors should be fruitful.
