Event #2

It's funny how the simplest of things can evoke such strong emotions. A familiar smell can bring back memories of childhood, the sound of the sea can be both soothing and terrifying, and the taste of a certain food can make you think of certain times. (Christmas pudding is one of my favourite things ever, and must only ever be eaten on December 25th)

However, this event evoked not a pleasant emotion, but that of utter rage. (Although I think anger is a good thing when channelled properly.) Walking through town in the rain, I noticed my shoelace was untied and dragging through the puddles and was soaking wet. Whilst bending down to tie it, I dropped my phone which chipped it the tiniest amount. Combine these two things with the slow moving congestion of the general public, and voila, rage.

Emotions: Rage, anger, hatred, violence.

I think that this was inspiring in a way, and almost showed that we actually live in a dangerous world. I was on the verge of kicking someone because of something so simple. I imagine that there are people out there who actually could let something as little as this lead them to violent acts. If anger is in the wrong hands it can be very dangerous. The Columbine Massacre, although terrible, is incredibly interesting. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris were prime examples of how built up anger can lead to such an end.

Certainly food for thought.
